More and more people are now talking about introspection and retrospection, about looking into their "backyard" to see what’s there and what’s left, to recollect what’s been "forgotten" or what’s been neglected - about looking into the interior of their homes to see what it looks like, how it really feels, to see if the furniture and interior decoration "fit" their preferences - looking into their wardrobe to see what they have spent on all these while - about looking more intensely into their bank accounts and other means of investments, to re-look if the figures are there really performing - even people are now more observant with their wallets and purses, and probably are more aware than before of the brands imprinted on their wallets as they’ve become more careful, delicate and thrifty in spending, they now look slightly deeper and longer into what they have - all about "looking in" more than "looking out", and hopefully not "looking no-where". What’s going on? What’s changing? Why this phenomena of shift in focus of concerns and attention? More and more businesses no matter what size are redirecting their aims more into the interiors, internal affairs, books and assets - do re-inventory, restructuring, recalculate what’s excessive and need to go. Why are more people looking "inward" now? Is it because no more interesting things worth looking "outward"? Is it because of the increasingly unpleasant things we see and hear today? Is it because more uncertainties are "out there" nowadays? Could well be. A quote from Asia Net-Solutions (a consulting group): "When uncertainties out there have become prominent, there’s one thing left in the equation which must firmly stay in certainty, it’s you". If this is somewhat the truth of the matter, then there must be more and more people who consciously are looking into "themselves", not looking elsewhere.

In spite of the many dimensions and interpretation of what "looking inward" means, looking into one’s Body, Mind and Spirit may be the least popular. But despite the fact, realize and accept it or not, what’s known as the "inner studies" has consistently and gradually become an industry. It’s become more visible around the globe – it’s become more prominent from time to time and from space to space. In fact, in many occasions it’s delivered and communicated as science, a non-physical science to be exact – it’s just so natural, logical and sensible, isn’t it? When there’s such thing as physical science, which has assisted and supported mankind to live in health, wealth, intelligence, identity and dignity, there must also be presence of the non-physical science. These two "wings" of sciences in balance shall then escort and support mankind to live further and sustain their growth - not only in health, wealth, intelligence, identity and dignity, but also in the wellness of living a good life. There are more innovation, creativity and wider spectrum of skills and facilities made available to improve the effective communication between this knowledge of the non-physical with the minds of the audience in general. More "user friendly" methods and techniques are now available to allow much better reception from the audience. Encouraging news indeed – explore and discover the unexplored are now more accessible - when actually, this science is nowhere but "within" every single person, none-different than looking "inward" into our own back-yards, and have always been in there with minimum exploration, less efforts to discover, more resistance to apply - for some, simply less appreciated pieces of knowledge to benefit from.

The Body, the Mind and the Spirit (or Soul or Heart – let’s use the term Soul from now on) work naturally in synergy - in laymen’s analogy it’s like a car. The body of the car is the "Body", the engine is the "Soul", and the driver is the "Mind". Simply, if one says: "you are out of your Mind", it can probably mean that the driver is not sitting behind the steering wheel or a non-suitable driver is sitting behind the steering wheel - say for example a stage coach driver instead.
